JUNGLE CRUISE sails into cinemas and Disney+ PA

Singapore - JUNGLE CRUISE (PG13) is the only main wide release in theatres this week. It's also available on Disney+ with Premier Access from Friday.

THE TOLL (NC16) and GAGARINE (NC16) are the only two other new releases.

SNAKE EYES snatches away #1 spot

Singapore - SNAKE EYES: G.I. JOE ORIGINS (PG13) takes the box office crown as BLACK WIDOW (PG13) slips into the runner-up spot. GUNPOWDER MILKSHAKE (M18) is the other debut at no. 6.

After three weekends, BLACK WIDOW has grossed US$1,879,906.

SNAKE EYES opens as Singapore returns to P2 (HA)

BLACK WIDOW opens with US$949,860

Singapore - BLACK WIDOW (PG13) captured US$949,860 (est. S$1,275,870) from its opening weekend, including Wednesday previews. WIDOW also opened with the 50-person limit per hall as with all theatrical films screening during this period. The box office gross is very close to FAST & FURIOUS 9's first 4-days which clocked in with an estimated S$1.28m (US$952,940). It is however, worth noting that BLACK WIDOW opened to such numbers while also being available on Disney+ with Premier Access.  

IN THE HEIGHTS (PG) is the other debut this week at no. 6

FAST & FURIOUS 9 hits US$1.9m with no. 1 debut

Singapore - FAST & FURIOUS 9 (PG13) landed at no. 1 with US$1.9m (est. S$2.56m) including previews, a strong showing with the restriction of 50-person limit per hall. Last weekend's 4-day preview netted an estimated US$952,940 (S$1.28m).

Also making an appearance in the top ten is China historical drama 1921 (PG13) at no. 6.

F9 zooms into cinemas

Singapore - After amassing an estimated S$1.28m (US$952,940) from four days of previews, FAST & FURIOUS 9 (PG13) officially opens this week following multiple delays. 

1921 (PG13) is the other wide release opening exclusively at Golden Village cinemas.

Specialty titles opening include Japanese anime ARIA THE CREPUSCOLO (PG13) and two documentaries: RESET (PG) and GUNDA (PG).
