Trio of horror opens over Halloween Weekend

Singapore - A trio of horror flicks opens in cinemas this Halloween weekend, led by HALLOWEEN KILLS (M18), along with local terror LATE NIGHT RIDE (NC16) and the Guillermo del Toro produced ANTLERS (NC16).

Other debuts include THE CARD COUNTER (M18) and THE COMEBACK TRAIL (NC16). Specialty releases include Japanese anime FATE/GRAND ORDER FINAL SINGULARITY GRAND TEMPLE OF TIME: SOLOMON (PG13) and the Projector exclusive TRUE MOTHERS (NC16).

Concert film ARASHI ANNIVERSARY TOUR 5X20 FILM: RECORD OF MEMORIES (PG) starts the first of 5 sessions on November 3 (Wed) at GV Plaza, with the following sessions on November 13 and 14.

Singapore - The top four positions at the box office holds as VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE (PG13) retains its no. 1 spot for a second weekend.

RON'S GONE WRONG (PG) is the highest debut at no. 5 with US$35,529 including previews. Other top ten entrants include CLOUDY MOUNTAIN (PG), TOKYO REVENGERS (PG13) and THE COURIER (PG13) at positions 6 through 8 respectively. THE COURIER grossed US$18,645.

NO TIME TO DIE (PG13) dropped to no. 2, while SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS (PG13) dropped to no. 3. SHANG-CHI has grossed US$5,018,319 to date.

THE LAST DUEL (R21) picked up US$12,974 to land at no. 5, while RESPECT (PG13) debuts at no. 6.

Singapore - NO TIME TO DIE (PG13) remains at no. 1 for a second weekend, grossing US$528,000 for a US$1,548,000 cume. SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS (PG13) holds steady at no. 2 and has grossed US$4,915,605 to date.

Other debuts in the top ten include MY COUNTRY, MY PARENTS (NC16) and WEREWOLVES WITHIN (NC16) at no. 5 and no. 9 respectively.

NO TIME TO DIE hits no. 1 with US$813K

Singapore - NO TIME TO DIE (PG13) blasts into the no. 1 spot with US$813,000. Four weeks ago, SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS (PG13) opened with US$1.41m, and that's excluding its Wednesday opening numbers. The final James Bond opened at a time when Covid-19 numbers are on the rise. The number of new cases detected in the country was 2,478 on its opening day, compared to only 177 when SHANG-CHI opened.

SPECTRE (PG13), the last James Bond film that opened in 2015 started with US$1,764,844 and finished its run with US$4,598,137.
