GOOSEBUMPS aim for dominace over Halloween weekend

Singapore - GOOSEBUMPS (PG), BURNT (NC16) and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION (NC16) lead the list of new releases over the Halloween weekend.

Also making their way into theatres: BREAKING THROUGH (PG), GOODBYE MR. LOSER 夏洛特烦恼 (PG13) and the limited releases BABY STEPS (R21), DATE A LIVE THE MOVIE: MAYURI JUDGEMENT (PG13) and concert film L'ARC~EN~CIEL LIVE 2015 - L'ARCASINO (PG13).

WITCH HUNTER and OUR TIMES rule box office

Singapore - Fantasy flick THE LAST WITCH HUNTER (PG13) finished first over the weekend, grossing US$478,789 from 39 screens. But the top screen average earner is the edited PG13 cut of Taiwanese romance drama OUR TIMES 我的少女时代, which collected US$464,138 from 26 screens for a mighty US$17,852 average.

Robert Zemeckis' THE WALK (PG) performed poorly, picking up US$271,405 from 38 screens (including 3D and IMAX 3D) for a meek US$7,142 average. 

Also in limited release is ED SHEERAN: JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS THE CONCERT FILM (PG13).

Singapore - THE WALK (PG) leads a list of new releases that includes new Vin Diesel franchise hopeful THE LAST WITCH HUNTER (PG13), the Taiwanese hit romace drama OUR TIMES 我的少女时代 (PG13 Edited) and the premium priced ED SHEERAN: JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS THE CONCERT FILM (PG13).

THE MARTIAN is no. 1 for a 3rd weekend!

Singapore - THE MARTIAN holds on to the number one spot for a third weekend with just US$385,948 as newcomers BRIDGE OF SPIES (PG13) and CRIMSON PEAK (NC16 Edited) occupy the next two positions.

BRIDGE OF SPIES edge out THE MARTIAN by a slim margin of US$111 for the week's top screen average performer, taking in US$316,213 from 34 screens for a US$9,300 screen average.

The edited NC16 rated cut of CRIMSON PEAK, which is also playing on IMAX starts with US$251,557 from 37 screens for a disappointing US$6,799 locations average.

THE MARTIAN beats PAN to No. 1

Singapore - Matt Damon in THE MARTIAN holds on to the number one spot for a second weekend as the new blockbuster contender PAN (PG) starring Hugh Jackman fails to steal the box office gold. Premium formats for both films include 3D.

PAN grossed US$548,958 from 52 screens with an average of US$10,557 - the highest amongst all films by a slim margin over THE MARTIAN's US$10,007.

Debuts within the top ten include thriller PAY THE GHOST (PG13) starring Nicolas Cage and Japanese crime drama HERO (PG).

THE MARTIAN lands in no. 1 spot

Singapore - THE MARTIAN (PG13) easily topped the box office over the weekend with premium options including 3D. The tally comes up to US$928,422 from 70 screens.

Mandarin films SAVING MR. WU 解救吾先生 (PG13 Edited) and LOST IN HONG KONG 港囧 (NC16) managed debuts within the top ten while THE GREEN INFERNO (R21 Edited) and PAWN SACRIFICE (PG13) debut outside the top ten.
