'Spider-Man: No Way Home' clings to No. 1 for 7th Week

Singapore - In the weekend leading up to the Lunar New Year, Spider-Man: No Way Home clings on to the no. 1 spot for a 7th week in a row.

Wong Jing's New Kung Fu Cult Master 1 is the highest debut at no. 2, while My Best Friend's Breakfast and King Richard debut at no. 5 and 6 respectively.  

Among holdovers, The King's Man grossed US$47,189 (S$63,695) - good enough for a no. 3 spot. The Matthew Vaughn directed pic has collected US$1,016,218 (S$1,377,510) to date.

'New Kung Fu Cult Master 1' opens ahead of Lunar New Year

Singapore - It's the week leading up to Lunar New Year 2022 with China animated film I Am What I Am and Nasi Lemak 1.0 from Malaysia opening on Thursday.

Hong Kong production New Kung Fu Cult Master 1 from Wong Jing and an all-star cast led by Donnie Yen and Raymond Lam opens on Friday, along with Taiwanese romance My Best Friend's Breakfast.

Singapore's Jack Neo's latest, Ah Girls Go Army and China's Only Fools Rush In open on Lunar New Year (Feb 1). AGGA also sneaks from Friday.

Also opening this week is King Richard, the biographical drama about Richard Williams, played by Will Smith.

'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is no. 1 for 6th Week

Singapore - Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to stick to no. 1 for a 6th weekend. The King's Man grossed a further US$98,061 (S$131,815) for a US$955,258 (S$1.28m) cume.

Reunion Dinner is the only debut at no. 3. West Side Story picks up another US$10,855 (S$14,591) for a US$69,691 (S$93,679) total to date.

'Reunion Dinner' opens island wide

'Scream', 'The 355' and 'Nightmare Alley' open

Singapore - Scream, The 355 and Nightmare Alley are the main English language films opening this week. From Hong Kong comes Breakout Brothers 2; from Indonesia, there's Makmun 2 and South Korea's Special Delivery opens on selected screens.

Two specialty releases open at the Projector. Joel Coen's The Tragedy of Macbeth kicks off on January 12 (Wednesday) while Petite Maman, from Céline Sciamma, director of Portrait of a Lady on Fire starts January 13 (Thursday).

'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is no. 1 for a 4th week

Singapore - Spider-Man: No Way Home sticks to the no. 1 spot for a 4th weekend. It has reportedly grossed S$11.8m, or US$8.72m after two weeks (its latest box office is currently unavailable).

The King's Man, which debut last week at no. 2 maintains its runner-up position, having grossed US$643,388 (S$882,319) to date.

West Side Story
, the highest debut appears at no. 8 with US$28,197 (S$38,668). Embrace Again and The Policeman's Lineage start at No. 9 and 10 respectively.
