JOHN WICK 2 hold off RINGS

Singapore - JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO (M18) repeats at no. 1. It adds another US$261,299 for a US$877,818 cume.

RINGS (PG13) is the highest debut at no. 2 with US$176,420 from 28 screens and a US$190,669 collection to date. HIDDEN FIGURES (PG), COLLIDE (PG13) and SLEEPLESS (NC16) (US$40,074 from 17 screens) make top ten appearances.

Debuts in limited release include FIST FIGHT (M18 Edited), SIEW LUP 烧腊 (R21), the third local release of the year and Japanese anime SWORD ART ONLINE THE MOVIE: CARDINAL SCALE (PG).

Singapore - RINGS (PG13), HIDDEN FIGURES (PG), COLLIDE (PG13) and SLEEPLESS (NC16) open wide this weekend.

Debuts in limited release include FIST FIGHT (M18 Edited), SIEW LUP 烧腊 (R21), the third local release of the year and Japanese anime SWORD ART ONLINE THE MOVIE: CARDINAL SCALE (PG).

On single screens, THE RETURN 回归 (PG13), another local release begins as does ELOISE (NC16) and BECAUSE I LOVE YOU (PG13).

A DOG'S PURPOSE (PG) sneaks over the weekend.

Singapore - JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO (M18) takes the top spot this weekend with an estimated US$504,227 from 44 screens.

A CURE FOR WELLNESS (M18) is the only other new film in the top ten with an estimated US$59,371 (S$84,690).

Other debuts include THE SPACE BETWEEN US (PG), JACKIE (NC16), MANCHESTER BY THE SEA (NC16) (US$5,101), ALONE IN BERLIN (PG13) and LOVE CONTRACTUALLY 合约男女 (NC16).

Singapore - JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO (M18) shoots into theatres this weekend along with fellow wide releases THE SPACE BETWEEN US (PG) and A CURE FOR WELLNESS (M18).

Oscar contenders starting in cinemas include JACKIE (NC16) and the single screen with limited sessions MANCHESTER BY THE SEA (NC16).

Also opening in limited release are ALONE IN BERLIN (PG13) at Lido only and LOVE CONTRACTUALLY 合约男女 (NC16) at FilmGarde cinemas.

LEGO BATMAN and FIFTY SHADES DARKER conquer box office

Singapore - THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE (PG) blasts into theatres at no. 1 with an estimated US$477,786 (S$680K). Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Kinky sequel FIFTY SHADES DARKER (R21) comes right behind at no. 2 with an estimated US$365,366 (S$520K).

COOK UP A STORM 决战食神 (PG) debuts in fifth place, while THE FOUNDER (PG13) and SILENCE (NC16) start outside the top ten.

Last week's reigning champion RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER (NC16) has grossed an estimated US$1.15m (S$1.63m) to date.

Singapore - THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE (PG) is the widest opening new film with premium options that include 3D and IMAX 3D.  FIFTY SHADES DARKER (R21) also opens wide, or as wide as the law allows a R21 rated film to go.

Other new releases are THE FOUNDER (PG13), SILENCE (NC16) and opening on a Friday - COOK UP A STORM 决战食神 (PG).
