'Downton Abbey 2' and 'The Ledge' lead new releases

Singapore - Downton Abbey 2: A New Era and The Ledge lead the new releases. Opening on limited screens are Indonesian horror Kuntilanak 3 and The Exorcism of God.

As of April 26, capacity limits in cinemas will be withdrawn as the Covid-19 restrictions continue to ease further.

'Fantastic Beasts 3' keeps 'The Lost City' from top debut

Singapore - Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore spends a second week at no. 1, keeping The Lost City from finding box office gold. The new Sandra Bullock-Channing Tatum adventure comedy debuts at no. 2.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which unfortunately is being released as an edited version due to two phrases regarded as religious profanities, comes in at no. 7 with US$16,530 (S$22,656).

Singapore - Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore opens island wide over the Easter weekend. Other new releases include Man on the Edge, Vietnamese Horror Story, Wyrmwood: Apocalypse and Price of Parenting. Memoria opens exclusively on Projector screens.

This week also marks the celebration of Puthandu, the Tamil New Year which falls on April 14. Beast opens island wide, while K.G.F. Chapter 2 is released with versions available in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.    

'Sonic the Hedgehog 2' races ahead to No. 1
