Singapore - CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (PG) will land at no. 1 this weekend with premium options including 3D and IMAX 3D. Other new releases include FRIEND REQUEST (NC16), EVERYBODY WANTS SOME (M18 Edited), ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM 2 (PG) and WHERE TO INVADE NEXT (M18).

THE JUNGLE BOOK returns to #1

Singapore - THE JUNGLE BOOK returns to no. 1 for a second non-consecutive week at the top. Former chart champ THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER'S WAR drops to second place. Jack Neo's LONG LONG TIME AGO 2 我们的故事 2 holds at no. 3, while new releases CRIMINAL and BASTILLE DAY  - both edited NC16 rated films round up the top five.

Other debuts include THE BOSS, MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, MR. RIGHT, MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN and BUDDY COPS 刑警兄弟.

Singapore - CRIMINAL (NC16 Edited) leads a bunch of new releases that includes BASTILLE DAY (NC16 Edited), MIDNIGHT SPECIAL (PG), MR. RIGHT (M18), THE BOSS (M18), MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN (PG) and BUDDY COPS 刑警兄弟 (NC16).

THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER'S WAR wins box office battle

Singapore - THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER'S WAR (PG13) wins the box office battle with US$907,409 from 67 screens. The previous entry SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN started with a stronger US$1,265,924 from 45 screens almost four years ago. 

THE JUNGLE BOOK (PG) which falls to second place, collects another US$726,118 for a new cume of US$1,989,155. Jack Neo's LONG LONG TIME AGO 2 (PG13) grossed another US$226,450 for a new total of US$1,711,647.

Holdovers BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (PG13) and THE BODYGUARD 特工爷爷 ( (NC16) round up the top five.

Singapore - THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER'S WAR (PG13) leads the pack of new releases that include HIGH STRUNG (PG), CHONGQING HOT POT小锅英雄 (PG13), NEW YORK NEW YORK 纽约纽约 (PG13), HARDCORE HENRY (R21) and DEMOLITION (NC16).

Japanese drama SUGIHARA CHIUNE (PG) opens with limited sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

Singapore - THE JUNGLE BOOK (PG) debuts at the top of the box office with US$1,034,499 from 56 screens (including 3D and IMAX 3D) for a mighty US$18,473 screen average. It's the fourth film this year to kickstart above the US$1m mark

Jack Neo's LONG LONG TIME AGO 2  我们的故事 2 (PG13) holds at no. 2 with US$413,853 pushing its cume to US$1,384,704. The sequel is currently pacing 29.2% behind the first film at the same point in time.

After two weeks at the top, BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (PG13) drops to third place. The year's current leader at the box office earned US$325,802 for a new high of US$5,490,523.

Singapore - BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (PG13) stays on top of the box office fore a second weekend, taking in another US$1,060,153 for a monstrous US$4,986,956. It's now overtaken DEADPOOL to become the highest grosser of 2016.

Jack Neo's LONG LONG TIME AGO 2 我们的故事 2 (PG13) is the fifth local release of the year and starts with US$641,803 from 52 screens. Throw in sneaks and its cume stands at US$787,690.

ZOOTOPIA (PG) crosses a new million dollar mark as an additional US$168,833 helps it reach a new high of US$4,053,855. The hit toon is also the year's third highest grossing film to date.
