Disney's 'Encanto' releases its magic in theatres

'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' debuts at no. 1

'Eternals' grosses US$2.26m after two weeks

Singapore - Eternals grosses US$632,839 for a US$2,262,556 cumulative as it stays atop the box office for a second weekend.

The Battle at Lake Changjin, the year's highest grossing film in China and internationally opens at no. 2. Animated sequel The Addams Family 2 opens at no. 5.

Concert film ARASHI Anniversary Tour 5x20 Film: Record of Memories, which had 4 sessions this past weekend appears in the top ten for the first time at no. 9.

Box office juggernaut 'The Battle at Lake Changjin' opens

Singapore - The Addams Family 2, Don't Breathe 2 and The Battle at Lake Changjin are the wide debuts this week.

Lake Changjin is currently the highest grossing film globally for 2021. In China, the film has grossed US$880m to date. 

Other new releases include Naked Singularity, Japanese anime Ryoma! The Prince of Tennis and the Nicolas Cage drama Pig.

M18-rated 'Eternals' opens with US$1.35m

Singapore - Eternals debuts at no. 1 with US$1,359,272, becoming the highest grossing debut for a M18 rated film this year and possibly during the pandemic era.

In comparison, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings started with US$1,597,685 in September. Earlier in March, Godzilla vs. Kong opened with an estimated US$1.62m (S$2.19m). Shang-Chi and GVK are both rated PG13 and opened on a Wednesday, while Eternals sneaked on a Wednesday before its full release on Thursday.

The box office debuts for The Suicide Squad and Mortal Kombat, two high profile M18-rated wide releases earlier this year were not reported on any box office sites such as Box Office Mojo and The Numbers

LATE NIGHT RIDE beats HALLOWEEN KILLS for top debut

Singapore - LATE NIGHT RIDE (NC16) beats HALLOWEEN KILLS (M18) to be the top debut at no. 4.  HALLOWEEN KILLS kicks off with US$40,000 at no. 6, while ANTLERS (NC16) starts with US$21,035 at no. 8. 

Meanwhile, VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE (PG13) clings on to the top spot for a third weekend.
