Singapore - DEADPOOL (M18) commands the no. 1 spot for a second weekend, and in the process becomes the first restricted rating movie to gross more than US$1m over two weekends. It made another US$1,020,038 for a US$3,404,501 cume. It's also now the highest grossing film of 2016 to date.
Previous runner-ups MERMAID 美人鱼 (PG) and LONG LONG TIME AGO 我们的故事 (PG13) hold their positions at no. 2 and no. 3 respectively. MERMAID has now collected US$2,358,028, while LONG LONG TIME AGO's tally stands at US$2.37m.
HOW TO BE SINGLE (NC16) is the week's highest debut at no. 4 while fellow debutant THE FINEST HOURS (PG13) rounds up the top five.
Also opening this week: 13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI (NC16), SENIOR (PG13 Edited), BROOKLYN (NC16), ANOMALISA (R21) and JANE GOT A GUN (NC16).
