Singapore - FAST & FURIOUS 8 (PG13) zooms to no. 1 with premium options that include 3D and IMAX 3D. It grossed US$2,841,288 from 124 screens for a US$22,914 screen average. While the weekend gross is the highest in the Furious series, the screen average actually trails that of FAST & FURIOUS 6 (US$35,363, 65 screens), THE FAST & THE FURIOUS 5 (US$27,015, 40 screens) and FAST & FURIOUS 7 (US$26,379, 107 screens).
POP AYE (M18), the fifth local release of the year and THE VOID (M18) debut in the top ten with 5 and 8 screens respectively. Other new releases include THE DEVOTION OF SUSPECT X 嫌疑人X的献身 (PG13) (3 Cathay screens) and MEAN DREAMS (PG13) at Lido only.
