Singapore - VENOM (PG13) continues to dominate the box office with a 4th weekend at no. 1. It collects another US$187,096 from 45 screens, more than any of the new releases. The Sony Marvel pic has now grossed US$3,997,131.
HUNTER KILLER (NC16) is the top debut at no. 2 with an estimated US$166,667. HALLOWEEN (M18) opens at no. 3 with US$153,029 (the cume is US$183,874 including previews). Local zombie comedy ZOMBIEPURA 尸杀军营 (PG13) starts at no. 5 with an estimated US$105,657. It's the 7th local release of the year.
BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE (NC16), BEAUTIFUL BOY (M18 Passed with Cuts), SANTET (NC16), THE INHABITANT (NC16) and AFTER EVERYTHING (M18) (Lido exclusive) are the other releases. BEAUTIFUL BOY is the 13th edited or "Pass with Cuts" release of the year.
THE TRAVELLING CAT CHRONICLES (PG) opens on 26 Oct (Fri) at 4 cinemas.
Among holdovers, it's worth noting that BLACKKKLANSMAN (NC16) which is playing exclusively at the Projector probably has the week's highest screen average of US$8,148. The Spike Lee directed drama has grossed US$26,220 to date.
