Debuts with limited screens and sessions include HOUSE OF THE DISAPPEARED (PG) (9 screens), BEAUTIFUL ACCIDENT 美好的意外 (PG) (7 screens), DEALER/HEALER 毒。诫 (M18) (7 screens) and THE BEAUTIFUL FANTASTIC (PG) playing exclusively at Lido.

BAYWATCH (M18) sneaks over the weekend while WONDER WOMAN (PG) will open on Wednesday with Tuesday midnight sneaks.

KING ARTHUR conquers box office

Singapore  - KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD (PG13) conquers the box office while LUCKY BOY 天公仔 (PG), the sixth local release of the year debuts at no. 4.

Also new in theatres is the premium priced Japanese anime in limited release, DETECTIVE CONAN: THE CRIMSON LOVE LETTER (PG).

Singapore - KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD (PG13) and LUCKY BOY 天公仔 (PG) are the only two main releases this week. LUCKY BOY is also the 6th local release of the year. DETECTIVE CONAN: THE CRIMSON LOVE LETTER (PG) is a premium priced Japanese anime opening on 8 GV screens.

ALIEN: COVENANT debuts at No. 1 with US$1m

Singapore - ALIEN: COVENANT (M18) debuts at no. 1 with US$1,008,013 from 80 screens. Premium options include IMAX.

Other new releases include SIAM SQUARE (PG13) (8 screens), THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED 喜欢你 (PG) (13 screens), DEAD AWAKE (NC16) (12 screens) and 29+1 (PG) (6 Shaw screens).

Amongst holdovers, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (PG13) joins the 4-million dollar club as it rakes up another US$403,937 for a US$4,029,966 cume.

FAST AND FURIOUS 8 (PG13) is now the highest grossing film of the year with US$5,463,075 while BEAUTY AND THE BEAST drops to second place with US$5,346,075. Both films are still in theatres.

COVENANT returns ALIEN to cinemas

Singapore - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (PG13) remains at no. 1 for a second weekend. It grossed US$771,942 for a US$3,161,090 cume. The next two films, FAST & FURIOUS 8 (PG13) and SHOCK WAVE 拆弹专家 (PG13) also maintain their chart positions.

UNLOCKED (NC16) is the highest debut at no. 4, while UNFORGETTABLE (M18) starts at no. 6.

LOVE OFF THE CUFF 春娇救志明 (NC16) (4 screens), SEX DOLL (M18) (3 screens), BRAIN ON FIRE (PG13) (3 screens) and KUROKO'S BASKETBALL THE LAST GAME (PG) (4 GV screens) are the other new releases.

UNLOCKED (NC16) and UNFORGETTABLE (M18) lead the list of new releases.

LOVE OFF THE CUFF 春娇救志明 (NC16) (4 screens), SEX DOLL (M18) (3 screens) and BRAIN ON FIRE (PG13) (3 screens) are the debuts with limited screens.

The Odex distributed KUROKO'S BASKETBALL THE LAST GAME (PG) plays on 4 GV screens.

GOTGV2 kicks off with US$1.75m

Singapore - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (PG13) debuts at no. 1 with US$1,751,946 (S$2,447,469) with premium options that include 3D and IMAX 3D. The opening numbers are pretty much on par with the first film, which started with US$1,785,046 (S$2,224,435) three years ago on its way to a US$4,729,358 finale.

The other wide release is South Indian blockbuster BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION (NC16), opening in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu versions island wide. Box office figures are not available.
