VENOM holds at no. 1 for 4th week!

Singapore - VENOM (PG13) continues to dominate the box office with a 4th weekend at no. 1. It collects another US$187,096 from 45 screens, more than any of the new releases. The Sony Marvel pic has now grossed US$3,997,131.

HUNTER KILLER (NC16) is the top debut at no. 2 with an estimated US$166,667. HALLOWEEN (M18) opens at no. 3 with US$153,029 (the cume is US$183,874 including previews). Local zombie comedy ZOMBIEPURA 尸杀军营 (PG13) starts at no. 5 with an estimated US$105,657. It's the 7th local release of the year.

BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE (NC16), BEAUTIFUL BOY (M18 Passed with Cuts), SANTET (NC16), THE INHABITANT (NC16) and AFTER EVERYTHING (M18) (Lido exclusive) are the other releases. BEAUTIFUL BOY is the 13th edited or "Pass with Cuts" release of the year.

It's Trick or Treat with HALLOWEEN

Singapore - HALLOWEEN (M18) goes trick-or-treating, HUNTER KILLER (NC16) enters theatres and ZOMBIEPURA 尸杀军营 (PG13) infects multiple screens this final weekend of October. ZOMBIEPURA is the 7th local release of the year.

BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE (NC16), BEAUTIFUL BOY (M18 Passed with Cuts), SANTET (NC16), THE INHABITANT (NC16) and AFTER EVERYTHING (M18) (Lido exclusive) are the other debuts. BEAUTIFUL BOY is the 13th edited or "Pass with Cuts" release of the year.

THE TRAVELLING CAT CHRONICLES (PG) opens on 26 Oct (Fri) at 4 cinemas.

FIRST MAN launches at #2; VENOM still #1

Singapore - VENOM (PG13) retains the box office crown for a 3rd weekend. The Marvel pic has now grossed US$3,727,556 and is still playing on 70 screens.

FIRST MAN (PG13) is the week's highest debut at no. 2 with a cumulative gross of US$218,890 from 32 screens, including IMAX and sneaks.

GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN (PG) debuts at no. 3 with US$186,532 from 34 screens.

THE GREAT BATTLE (NC16) is the 3rd debut in the top ten at no. 10. It's playing on 4 screens.

FIRST MAN blasts into theatres

Singapore - FIRST MAN (PG13) blasts into theatres with premium options that include IMAX. Also opening wide is GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN (PG).

Other debuts include THE LINGERING (PG13) (8 screens), EXES BAGGAGE (NC16) (6 GV screens), THE GREAT BATTLE (NC16) (4 screens), BABY 宝贝儿 (PG) (3 FilmGarde cinemas) and LIZZIE (R21) (Lido exclusive).

VENOM is no. 1 for a 2nd Week

Singapore - Last week's top three stay locked into their positions. VENOM (PG13) spends a 2nd week at no. 1. The Marvel pic from Sony has now grossed US$3,132,175.

JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES BACK (PG) holds at no. 2 with a cumulative of US$2,847,939; PROJECT GUTENBERG 无双 (PG13) remains at no. 3 with an estimated gross of US$464,374.

A STAR IS BORN (M18) rises up one spot to no. 4. It has now collected an estimated US$377,304.

SHADOW 影 (NC16) is the highest debut at no. 5 with an estimated US$106,927. PASKAL THE MOVIE (PG13) and HEILSTATTEN (NC16) also start in the top ten.

VENOM captures no. 1 spot with US$1.76m

Singapore  - VENOM (PG13) captures the no. 1 spot with US$1,764,401 (including previews) from 112 screens. Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Opening in 2nd place is PROJECT GUTENBERG 无双 (PG13) with an estimated US$195,298.

A STAR IS BORN (M18) and THE NEGOTIATION (PG13) also debut in the top ten.

Among holdovers, JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES BACK (PG) and SMALLFOOT (PG) have grossed US$2,548,825 and S$383,363 respectively.

VENOM infects cinemas

Singapore - VENOM (PG13) infects cinemas with premium formats that include 3D and IMAX 3D. The attack began with previews on Wednesday (3 Oct).

PROJECT GUTENBERG 无双 (PG13) and A STAR IS BORN (M18) and are the other two wide releases.

THE NEGOTIATION (PG13) opens at 4 GV cinemas.

JOHNNY ENGLISH retains strike at No. 1 for 2nd Week

Singapore - JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN (PG13) holds onto no. 1 for a 2nd weekend. It has now grossed US$2,165,602.

SMALLFOOT (PG), also released in 3D is the highest debut at no. 2. SEARCHING (PG13) starts at no. 3 with US$140,314 from 39 screens. HELL FEST (NC16) (US$39,102 / 14 screens) and SABRINA (NC16) (8 Cathay cinemas) also managed top ten debuts.

Other releases include MARA (PG13) (7 screens), KILLING FOR THE PROSECUTION (PG13) (5 GV screens) and HELLO MR. BILLIONAIRE 西虹市首富 (PG13) (2 GV screens).
