THE FOREIGNER arrives in cinemas

Singapore - THE FOREIGNER (NC16) arrives in theatres this weekend. And it's a double dose of Jackie Chan, as he can also be heard voicing a supporting role in THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE (PG), which will be available in IMAX 3D.

Other new releases include THE MAN WITH THE IRON HEART (M18) (3 screens) and REVOLT (PG13) (2 Shaw screens).

Tan Pin Pin's documentary IN TIME TO COME (PG) opens exclusively at FilmGarde Bugis + with limited sessions. It's the 8th local cinematic release this year.

Edited KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE snares #1 spot

Singapore - KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE (NC16 Edited) debuts at no. 1 with US$1,441,323 from 101 screens (including IMAX). It's the 16th edited release this year and takes over the top spot from the 15th edited film of the year, IT (NC16 Edited). Both films are the only edited films to reach no. 1 this year.

STRONGER (M18) is the second highest debut at no. 4 with US$31,648 from 20 screens.

Other new releases include NAILS (PG13) (7 screens), MRS. K (PG13) (4 screens) and THE GLASS CASTLE (PG) (3 screens).

Edited IT scares off MOTHER!

Singapore - With more screens than any other films in release, the edited NC16 rated IT continues to scare at no. 1 for a second weekend. Its total gross now stands at an estimated US$1,248,885.

MOTHER! (NC16) is the highest debut at no. 2 on 35 screens.

Other new releases include INNOCENT CURSE (PG13) (13 screens), LET ME EAT YOUR PANCREAS (PG) (11 GV screens), THE ONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK (NC16) (4 screens) (US$6,233) and MEMBERS ONLY 私人会所 (R21 Edited) (2 screens).

IT and MEMBERS ONLY are the 14th and 15th edited releases of the year.

Amongst holdovers, AMERICAN MADE (M18) has grossed US$651,743 and MIDNIGHT RUNNERS (PG13) has taken off with an estimated US$178,412.

Edited IT unlikely to cede #1 post to MOTHER!

Other top ten debuts include MIDNIGHT RUNNERS (PG13) (12 screens) (estimated US$78,003), LOGAN LUCKY (PG13) (US$72,020) and THE NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE (PG) (US$37,082).
