Singapore - GODZILLA II: KING OF THE MONSTERS (PG13) stomps into theatres with premium options that include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Also new in cinemas is THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 (PG), also in 3D and IMAX 3D. SADAKO (PG13) is the third new release of the week on 7 screens.

X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX (PG13) opens on Wednesday, 5 June, which is also Hari Raya Puasa. Premium options include 3D.

Concert film MAYDAY LIFE (PG) opens at selected Golden Village cinemas from Friday, 24 May. The screenings are in 3D.  and tickets are priced at $22 ($18 for Golden Village members).

POKEMON knocks ENDGAME off top spot

Singapore - POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU (PG) climbs up to no. 1 this weekend, becoming only the 2nd film this year to do so. It has grossed an estimated S$2.9m (US$2.1m) to date.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (PG13) dips to the runner-up spot. The highest grossing film of all time has now banked in an estimated S$18.53m (US$13.46m) after four weekends.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 (M18) is the highest debut at no. 3 with an estimated US$535,336.

Other top ten debuts include A DOG'S JOURNEY (PG) (US$60,234 over first four days), THE 3RD EYE REOPENS (NC16) and BIRTHDAY (PG).

GRETA (NC16) , THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR (PG13) and HITTINE (NC16) are the other new releases.

ENDGAME is now the highest grosser with S$17.01m

Singapore - AVENGERS: ENDGAME (PG13) spends a third week at the top. It's now the highest grossing film on the island with S$17.01m (US$12.49m), surpassing the S$16.2m (US$11.89m) take of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (PG13).

POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU (PG) is the highest debut at no. 2 with an estimated S$1.21m (US$888K) captured. Premiu options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Other debuts include THE HUSTLE (NC16), BRIGHTBURN (NC16 Edited), KING OF THIEVES (NC16) (3 screens) and TEEN SPIRIT (PG) (8 cinemas).

PIKACHU appears in cinemas island wide

TEEN SPIRIT (PG) opens on eight screens while KING OF THIEVES (NC16) starts at three Shaw cinemas.  

EVERYBODY KNOWS (PG13) kicks off with limited screenings from Thursday, 9 May at The Projector.

BIRTHDAY (PG) sneaks on Saturday and Sunday at selected Golden Village cinemas.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME tally up to S$14.88m

Singapore - AVENGERS: ENDGAME (PG13) continues its box office dominance. After two weekends, the Marvel juggernaut has grossed an estimated S$14.88m (US$10.94m).

HOTEL MUMBAI (M18) is the highest debut at no. 2 with an estimated S$110K (US$81K).

PEE NAK (NC16) with an estimated S$71,957 (US$53K), LONG SHOT (M18 Edited) and MINUSCULE: MANDIBLES FROM FAR AWAY (G) are the other new films.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME to continue box office dominance

Singapore - PEE NAK (NC16) and MINUSCULE - MANDIBLES FROM FAR AWAY (G) open on 1 May, Wednesday, which is the Labour Day holiday.

HOTEL MUMBAI (M18) and LONG SHOT (M18 Edited) open on 2 May, Thursday. LONG SHOT is the sixth edited release of the year.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME (PG13), which opened with an estimated S$7.52m (US$5.52m) last weekend is poised to dominate the box office again this weekend.
