UNDERWATER and edited BOMBSHELL debut

Singapore - UNDERWATER (PG13) and BOMBSHELL (NC16 Edited) are the only two main releases this post-Lunar New Year weekend. Both films also sneaked last weekend.

THE LIGHTHOUSE (M18) debuts exclusively at the Projector, along with ACCEPT THE CALL (M18), which is currently only slated for two sessions.

ENTER THE FAT DRAGON is #1 over Lunar New Year Weekend

Singapore - ENTER THE FAT DRAGON (PG13) beats BAD BOYS FOR LIFE (NC16) to become the top film over the Lunar New Year weekend. DRAGON grossed an estimated US$639,577 from 45 prints while BAD BOYS took US$346,488 from 44 screens.

ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2020 (PG13) is the second highest grossing Lunar New Year title, with an estimated US$67,415 from 20 screens.

SECRET ZOO (PG13) also managed a no. 8 debut while PARASITE (M18) returns to the chart at no. 10

BAD BOYS and FAT DRAGON lead CNY releases

Singapore - BAD BOYS FOR LIFE (NC16) goes head to head with ENTER THE FAT DRAGON (PG13) this Lunar New Year weekend.

SECRET ZOO (PG13), YOUR LOVE SONG (PG) and A MOMENT OF HAPPINESS (PG) get their releases pushed up to 25 January, Saturday as four titles get postponed in an unprecedented move due to the delay of the release in China. 

ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2020 (PG13), THE GRAND GRANDMASTER (PG13) also open on Saturday.

UNDERWATER (PG13) and BOMBSHELL (NC16 Edited) sneak.

Specialty releases include WAVES (M18) at the Projector and A FLOWER ABOVE THE CLOUDS (NC16) at Carnival Cinemas Golden Mile Tower.

DOLITTLE debuts with US$387,974

Singapore - DOLITTLE (PG) debuts at no. 1 with US$387,974 from 36 screens, including previews. 1917 (PG13) drops to second place and has grossed US$691,552 to date.

LITTLE WOMEN (PG) is new at no. 5 with US$45,809 from 4 screens.









 

DOLITTLE arrives in cinemas

Singapore - DOLITTLE (PG) opens wide and LITTLE WOMEN (PG) debuts at Golden Village cinemas this weekend.

Other new releases on limited screens include ADORING 宠爱 (PG), THE GARDEN OF EVENING MISTS (M18), THE PEANUT BUTTER FALCON (PG13) and PRIMAL (NC16 Edited).

Indian cinemas releases include PATTAS (NC16) [Tamil] on 15 January, Wednesday and BIG BROTHER (PG13) [Malayalam] on 16 January, Thursday.

Japanese anime SAEKANO THE MOVIE FINALE (PG13) also opens on Thursday.

1917 opens on top with US$383,899

Singapore - 1917 (PG13) commands the no. 1 spot this weekend with US$287,633 from 36 screens. Premium options include IMAX. Throw in numbers from last week's sneak previews and the cumulative stands at US$383,899.

PLAYING WITH FIRE (PG) is the only other new film in the top ten, coming in at no. 6.

Singapore - IP MAN 4: THE FINALE《叶问4:完结篇》 (PG13 Edited) retains the box office crown for a second weekend.

ASHFALL (PG13) is the highest debut in the runner up position. Other new films in the top ten include THE GRUDGE (NC16) with US$93,552 from 33 screens and JOJO RABBIT (PG13).
