Singapore - THOR: RAGNAROK (PG13) smashes into theatres at no. 1 with US$2,210,498. Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Opening on limited screens are TORNADO GIRL (PG13) (6 GV screens) and GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (PG) (3 GV screens).

Amongst holdovers, GEOSTORM (PG13) has grossed an estimated U$1,421,454 while CHASING THE DRAGON 追龙  (NC16), the second highest grossing Asian film of the year now has an estimated US$1,414,127 in its coffers.

Singapore - THOR: RAGNAROK (PG13) will easily claim the box office crown this weekend with premium options that include 3D and IMAX 3D. The film sneaked on Wednesday.

New releases with limited screens include TORNADO GIRL (PG13) (6 GV screens) and GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (PG) (3 GV screens).

JIGSAW (M18) sneaks over the weekend on 14 screens.

GEOSTORM continues raging at no. 1

Singapore - GEOSTORM (PG13) rages at no. 1 for a second weekend. It has now grossed an estimated US$1,256,152.

The highest debut is HAPPY DEATH DAY (PG13) at no. 2. Its collection of US$321,556 from 27 screens includes Wednesday and Tuesday midnight sneaks.

Amongst holdovers, CHASING DRAGON 追龙 (NC16) has accumulated an estimated US$1,320,894, placing it as the second highest grossing Asian title this year.

Other debuts include AMERICAN ASSASSIN (NC16) (US$103,288 / 25 screens), FLATLINERS (PG13 Edited) (US$91,471 / 23 screens), ONLY THE BRAVE (PG13) (US$58,904 / 14 screens) and SKY HUNTER 天空猎 (PG13).

HAPPY DEATH DAY leads new releases

Singapore - Films opening on the Deepavali public holiday on Wednesday include HAPPY DEATH DAY (PG13) (estimated 31 screens), AMERICAN ASSASSIN (NC16) (28), FLATLINERS (PG13 Edited) (22) and ONLY THE BRAVE (PG13) (17).

DEATH and ASSASSIN also sneak on Tuesday midnight. FLATLINERS is the 18th edited release of the year and the 10th edited version released in lieu of a "passed clean" version with a more restrictive rating.

SKY HUNTER 天空猎 (PG13) opens on Thursday on 9 screens.

GEOSTORM rages at no. 1

Singapore - GEOSTORM rules the box office with an estimated US$607,768. Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

CHASING THE DRAGON 追龙 (NC16), which became only the third non-Hollywood title to top the box office this year drops to no. 2 with an estimated cume of US$985,769 after two weekends.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 (NC16 Edited) which opened simultaneously has accumulated US$765,797.

International box office champ NEVER SAY DIE 羞羞的铁拳 (PG13) opens on 9 screens with an estimated US$55,672. The Chinese comedy led the latest international box office with US$30m for a total cume of US$281m.

Singapore - Wong Jing's CHASING THE DRAGON 追龙 (NC16) starring Andy Lau and Donnie Yen clinches the no. 1 spot with an estimated US$515,018. It's the third non-Hollywood title to reach no. 1 this year after KUNG FU YOGA 功夫瑜伽 功夫瑜伽 (PG13) and THE BATTLESHIP ISLAND (NC16).

BLADE RUNNER 2049 (NC16 Edited), which opens on more screens (including 3D and IMAX3) debuts in the runner-up spot with US$474,991.

Other entrants in the Top Ten include MONSTER FAMILY (PG) (7 Shaw screens) (estimated US$48,272), THE MIRACLES OF THE NAMIYA GENERAL STORE (PG) (7 screens) and MARK FELT: THE MAN WHO BROUGHT DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE (PG13) (10 screens).

Singapore - KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE (NC16 Edited) hangs on to the no. 1 spot for a second weekend. It grossed US$700,157 from 103 screens for a US$2,471,048 cume.

THE FOREIGNER starring Jackie Chan debuts at no. 2 with an estimated US$611,373. THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE (PG), which features Jackie Chan's vocal talents debuts at no. 3 with an estimated US$198,880. NINJAGO is also available in IMAX 3D.

Other new releases include THE MAN WITH THE IRON HEART (M18) (3 screens) and REVOLT (PG13) (2 Shaw screens).
