DRAGON beats Edited RUNNER

Singapore - Wong Jing's CHASING THE DRAGON 追龙 (NC16) starring Andy Lau and Donnie Yen clinches the no. 1 spot with an estimated US$515,018. It's the third non-Hollywood title to reach no. 1 this year after KUNG FU YOGA 功夫瑜伽 功夫瑜伽 (PG13) and THE BATTLESHIP ISLAND (NC16).

BLADE RUNNER 2049 (NC16 Edited), which opens on more screens (including 3D and IMAX3) debuts in the runner-up spot with US$474,991.

Other entrants in the Top Ten include MONSTER FAMILY (PG) (7 Shaw screens) (estimated US$48,272), THE MIRACLES OF THE NAMIYA GENERAL STORE (PG) (7 screens) and MARK FELT: THE MAN WHO BROUGHT DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE (PG13) (10 screens).

YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME 海墘新路(NC16) opens exclusively at GV VivoCity. YOU ARE MY SUNDAY (PG13) opens on Friday on 2 GV screens.

Amongst holdovers, THE FOREIGNER (NC16) has nabbed US$1,056,000 while KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE (NC16 Edited) has nabbed an estimated US$2,886,447 to date.
