COCO is top debut; JL and ABTM 4 still tops

Singapore - JUSTICE LEAGUE (PG) and AH BOYS TO MEN 4 新兵正传 IV (PG13) hold on to the top two spots at the box office. The highest debut is COCO (PG).

JUSTICE LEAGUE has grossed an estimated US$4,280,618 while ABTM4's cume is an estimated US$3,128,716. The Jack Neo directed pic is now the highest grossing Asian film of the year, surpassing KUNG FU YOGA 功夫瑜伽 (PG13) 's US$2,682,592 total.

COCO is the highest debut with US$338,981 (including previews). Other new releases include POKEMON THE MOVIE: I CHOOSE YOU (PG) and MANHUNT (NC16). A Japanese language version of POKEMON also screens exclusively at GV Plaza.

Singapore - COCO (PG), MANHUNT (NC16) and POKEMON THE MOVIE: I CHOOSE YOU (PG) open wide this weekend. A Japanese language version of POKEMON also screens exclusively at GV Plaza.

Opening on limited screens are THE GOLDEN MONK 降魔传(PG13) (11 screens), BATTLE OF THE SEXES (M18) (8 screens), WIND RIVER (M18 Edited) (6 Shaw screens) and BACK TO BURGUNDY (M18) (Lido and The Projector). WIND RIVER is the 21st edited release of the year.

JUSTICE LEAGUE tops box office with US$2.5m

Singapore - JUSTICE LEAGUE (PG) tops the box office with an estimated US$2,507,190 (including 3D and IMAX 3D).

Amongst holdovers, AH BOYS TO MEN 4 新兵正传 IV (PG13) has accumulated an estimated US$2,551,434, while THOR: RAGNORAK (PG13)'s cume is now US$5,530,167.

Other debuts include THE PROMISE (PG13) with an estimated US$101,874, and ALL I SEE IS YOU (R21), a Lido exclusive.

Malaysian drama BEFORE WE FORGET 当我们在一起 (PG) opens on Friday (17 Nov) on 6 GV screens, but only has limited sessions for that date and 22 Nov (Wed).

ABTM4 kicks off with US$1.47m

Singapore - AH BOYS TO MEN 4 新兵正传 IV (PG13), the 9th local release of the year opens at no. 1 with an estimated US$1.47m. It's the highest debut for an Asian title this year, outpacing KUNG FU YOGA功夫瑜伽 (PG13)'s US$964,400 start in January.

Last week's top film, THOR: RAGNAROK (PG13) drops to second place. It has grossed US$5,187,193 to date.

Other debuts include VICTORIA AND ABDUL (PG) and SUBURBICON (NC16).

The highest debut comes from MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE (G) (US$160,148 / 23 screens), followed by JIGSAW (M18) (US$135,124 / 16 screens), ALWAYS BE WITH YOU 常在你左右 (NC16 Edited), A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS (NC16 Edited) and THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US (M18).

ALWAYS BE WITH YOU and A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS are the 19th and 20th edited releases of the year. ABWY is also the 11th film in which the edited version is released in lieu of a "passed clean" version with a more restrictive rating.
