Singapore - MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE (G), A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS (NC16 Edited) and ALWAYS BE WITH YOU 常在你左右 (NC16 Edited) lead a pack of 8 new releases. None are expected to dethrone THOR: RAGNAROK (PG13), which will continue to command more screens than any other release this weekend.
ALWAYS BE WITH YOU and A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS are the 19th and 20th edited releases of the year. ABWY is also the 11th film in which the edited version is released in lieu of a "passed clean" version with a more restrictive rating.
Other debuts include JIGSAW (M18) (estimated 16 screens), THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US (M18) (9 GV screens), NO GAME NO LIFE ZERO (PG13) (5 GV screens), BRAD'S STATUS (M18) (2 Shaw screens) and OVERSIZE COPS (PG) (2 FilmGarde screens).
Over on the independent release circuit, The Projector brings in PATTI CAKE$ (NC16) which starts 3 Nov after a launch party on 1 Nov.
