3 Edited Films Amongst New Releases

Singapore - HOTEL ARTEMIS (NC16 Edited) leads a bunch of wide releases that include BUYER BEWARE 吉屋 (PG13 Edited), and ANIMAL WORLD 动物世界 (PG13) (Sneaks Thursday; Opens Friday).

OVER DRIVE (8 screens), DANUR 2: MADDAH (PG13) (7 GV screens), DORAEMON THE MOVIE: NOBITA'S TREASURE ISLAND (PG) (5 screens: Mandarin version; 1 screen: Japanese version), DISOBEDIENCE (R21) (2 Cathay screens),  GOTTI (M18) (Lido exclusive) and THE BRITS ARE COMING (M18 Edited) (Lido exclusive) are the other debuts.

HOTEL ARTEMIS, BUYER BEWARE and THE BRITS ARE COMING are the 6th edited releases of the year; while BUYER is also the 3rd edited release in which a "Passed Clean" version with a more restrictive rating is shelved for the theatrical release.

Holdovers lock down the Top 3 with INCREDIBLES 2 at #1

Singapore - INCREDIBLES 2 (PG) takes over the top spot as the top three consist of holdovers. The Pixar toon has now grossed US$3,175,946 to date.

Amongst holdovers, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM (PG13) has amassed US$6,609,650 while AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (PG13) hits a new high of US$12,171,887.

The edited cut of HEREDITARY (M18 Edited) is the highest debut with US$120,780 (including sneaks), followed by THE BIG DAY 简单的婚礼 (PG), TAG (M18), THE LEAKERS 泄密者们 (PG13) and BOOK CLUB (NC16)

Singapore - TAG (M18) leads a pack of new releases that include THE BIG DAY 简单的婚礼 (PG), HEREDITARY (M18 Edited), THE LEAKERS 泄密者们 (PG13), DETECTIVE CONAN: ZERO THE ENFORCER (PG) (7 GV screens), BOOK CLUB (NC16) (5 screens) and SID & AYA - NOT A LOVE STORY (PG13) (4 GV screens).

FUTURE WORLD (M18) (Lido) and A FANTASTIC WOMAN (M18) (GV Vivo) are single screen releases.

THE BIG DAY is the 4th local release while HEREDITARY is the 5th edited release this year.

On the arts circuit, Ai Weiwei's documentary, HUMAN FLOW (PG) starts at the Projector.

Singapore - JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM (PG13) continues to dominate the box office for a second weekend.

INCREDIBLES 2 (PG) and OCEAN'S 8 (PG13) are the highest debuts at no. 2 and 3 respectively. Premium formats for INCREDIBLES 2 include 3D and IMAX 3D.

AMERICAN ANIMALS (M18 Edited) is the 4th edited release of the year and opens exclusively at Lido.

HEREDITARY (M18 Edited) sneaks over the weekend and is the 5th edited film of the year.

JWFK debuts at #1 with US$3.75m

Singapore - JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM (PG13) dominates the box office with premium options that include 3D and IMAX 3D. Sneaks began on Wednesday (6 June). The total cume is US$3,749,184.

HERE COMES THE GRUMP (PG) (10 screens) and LAPLACE'S WITCH (PG) (3 GV screens) debut in the top ten in positions 9 and 10 respectively.
