AVENGERS: ENDGAME delivers with US$5.52m opening

Singapore - AVENGERS: ENDGAMES (PG13) dominates the box office with an estimated S$7.51m (US$5.52m). It's the biggest five-day opening weekend of of all time. Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Among holdovers, THE CURSE OF THE WEEPING WOMAN (NC16) has grossed an estimated S$470K (US$345K) while FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY (PG13) has collected an estimated S$240K (US$176K).

AVENGERS: ENDGAME kicks off in theatres!

Singapore - AVENGERS: ENDGAME (PG13) opens wide on Wednesday, 24 April. Premium options include 3D and MAX 3D.

The only other release is THE DARK CINEMA (PG13) at three Cathay cinemas.

THE THIRD WIFE (R21) is a specialty screening scheduled for 27 and 28 April at Golden Village Suntec.

LONG SHOT (M18 Edited) sneaks on 30 April and 1 May, which is the Labour Day holiday at five Golden Village cinemas. It's the sixth edited release of the year.

PEE NAK (NC16) and MINUSCULE - MANDIBLES FROM FAR WAY (G) open at selected cinemas on 1 May.

SHAZAM! keeps CURSE from no. 1

Singapore - SHAZAM! (PG) spends a third week at no. 1. The DC superhero pic has now grossed an estimated S$3.53m (US$2.6m).

THE CURSE OF THE WEEPING WOMAN (NC16) lands at no. 2 in its first week of release. The horror ranked in the top ten last week based on figures from sneak previews. It has scared up an estimated S$340K (US$250K) to date.   

FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY (PG13) and AFTER (M18) - two other wide releases also appear in the top ten at no. 4 and 10 respectively. FAMILY collected an estimated S$170K (US$125K).

THE CURSE OF THE WEEPING WOMAN creeps into theatres

Singapore - THE CURSE OF THE WEEPING WOMAN (NC16) creeps into cinemas his week. The original title of the film is THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA, but that has been changed for a few English speaking territories outside the United States. Premium options include IMAX.

FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY (PG13) and AFTER (M18) also open wide. Other releases include RESIDE (NC16), MONEY (PG) and TOUKEN RANBU: THE MOVIE (PG13) (4 Golden Village screens).

Faith based THE CASE FOR CHRIST (PG) plays on Sunday, 21 April at Salt Media @ Capital Tower and is scheduled for another session on 28 April.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME (PG13) opens in cinemas island wide on Wednesday, 24 April.

SHAZAM! keeps HELLBOY from no. 1

Singapore - SHAZAM! (PG) continues to conquer the box office for a second weekend. It has grossed an estimated S$2.84m (US$2,099,612) to date. 

HELLBOY is the highest debut at no. 2 with an estimated S$310K (US$229,183). It's released in a M18 rated version and a PG13 edited version.

MISSING LINK (PG) opens wide but missed the top ten. Other debuts include DREADOUT (NC16) (9 screens), BREAKTHROUGH (PG) (5 Golden Village screens), FLY BY NIGHT 非常盗 (PG13) (5 Cathay screens), CAPTIVE STATE (PG13) (4 screens) and FATE/STAY NIGHT [HEAVEN'S FEEL] II. LOST BUTTERFLY (NC16) (4 Golden Village screens).

Two versions of HELLBOY open against MISSING LINK

Singapore - MISSING LINK (PG) and HELLBOY open wide this week.

Two versions of HELLBOY are released simultaneously. The M18 rated version is available at Golden Village cinemas, which will also offer the PG13 edited version being screened at other cinemas. PG13 Hellboy is also the fifth edited release of the year.

Other debuts include DREADOUT (NC16) (9 screens), BREAKTHROUGH (PG) (5 Golden Village screens), FLY BY NIGHT 非常盗 (PG13) (5 Cathay screens), CAPTIVE STATE (PG13) (4 screens) and FATE/STAY NIGHT [HEAVEN'S FEEL] II. LOST BUTTERFLY (NC16) (4 Golden Village screens).

Singapore - SHAZAM! (PG) debuts at no. 1 with an estimated US$1.35m (S$1.83m). Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

PET SEMATARY (NC16) starts with an estimated US$140,127 (S$190K).

P STORM 《P 风暴》(PG13) and FRIEND ZONE (PG13) are the other top ten debuts.

TIADA TAJUK (PG13) opens at 8 Cathay cinemas while THE LADY IMPROPER 《非分熟女》(R21) opens on 7 screens. The theatrical version in Mandarin runs 90 minutes, whereas a Cantonese version slated for the upcoming Singapore Chinese Film Festival is listed as 108 minutes.

THE GUILTY (PG13) and I CAN ONLY IMAGINE (PG) start their specialty run with limited sessions on Saturday, April 6. THE GUILTY will play at three locations, while the faith-based IMAGINE opens at Salt Media @ Capital Tower.

DUMBO lands at no. 1 with US$395K

Singapore - DUMBO (PG) flies in at the no. 1 spot with US$395,765. Premium options include 3D and IMAX 3D.

Former champ CAPTAIN MARVEL (PG13) drops to no. 2 with a gross of US$7,052,186 to date.

Other top ten debuts include GHOST WIFE (NC16) and THE HOLE IN THE GROUND (PG13) (8 screens). EERIE (PG13) (8 Cathay cinemas) and DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE (M18) (3 Shaw screens) also open.

Specialty title BOY ERASED (R21) had its first screening at the Projector on Saturday, 30 March. It has grossed US$3,734 and a US$4,625 cumulative.
