BODIES AT REST《沉默的证人》(NC16) is the next highest debut at no. 5 with an estimated US$72,032. READY OR NOT (M18) (8 Cathay cinemas) also enters the top 10 at no. 7.
Other releases include MAKMUM (PG13) (12 Golden Village screens), AFTER THE WEDDING (PG13) (4 Shaw cinemas), PAVAROTTI (PG13) (Lido exclusive) and APOLLO 11 (PG) (Lido IMAX).
Specialty releases include CODE GEASS: LELOUCH OF THE RESURRECTION (NC16) (5 Golden Village cinemas, premium price) and OVERCOMER (PG) (from 23 August, Friday exclusively at Salt Media @ Capital Tower and EagleWings Cinematics).
The IMAX version of FREE SOLO (PG13) opened at 3 IMAX screens from 24 August, Saturday. The 2D version was released at the Projector earlier this year from 24 February.
FAST & FURIOUS: HOBBS & SHAW (PG13), which dropped to no. 2 after three weekends at no. 1 has grossed US$3,905,301 to date.
