Singapore - SOUL (PG) maintains its hold at no. 1 for a third weekend with US$90,006. It's a very low figure for no. 1, and one that has been common since cinemas re-opened during the current pandemic. Short of anticipated blockbusters (which are also under-performing as compared to the pre-Covid period), box office takings have fallen drastically, as highlighted in a Straits Times article on last year's top performing films. To date, SOUL has grossed US$1,329,767 sine its release on Christmas last year.
THE CON-HEARTIST (PG13) is the highest debut at no. 2. The documentary 76 DAYS (PG) which opened on Saturday debuts at no. 7, and the action thriller SONGBIRD (PG13) comes in at no. 8.
