Singapore - NO TIME TO DIE (PG13) blasts into the no. 1 spot with US$813,000. Four weeks ago, SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS (PG13) opened with US$1.41m, and that's excluding its Wednesday opening numbers. The final James Bond opened at a time when Covid-19 numbers are on the rise. The number of new cases detected in the country was 2,478 on its opening day, compared to only 177 when SHANG-CHI opened.
SPECTRE (PG13), the last James Bond film that opened in 2015 started with US$1,764,844 and finished its run with US$4,598,137.
Next week, VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE (PG13) will open with sneak previews on Wednesdays.
SHANG-CHI has grossed US$4,744,892 to date.
Internationally, NO TIME TO DIE has grossed US$121m and will open in the United States on October 8 and China on October 29.
